Lotts, a sophomore from Monterey, Va., shined for Bridgewater at the Liberty Kickoff hosted by Liberty University in Lynchburg, Va. Lotts, who earns his second weekly award of the season, is the first indoor competitor to set an overall ODAC men's throwing record in 10 years. He increased his grip on the top spot in the conference by winning the weight throw competition with a new ODAC and Bridgewater record toss of 17.91 meters (58-9.50). That snaps the mark of 17.83 meters (58-6.25) established by Lynchburg's Dan Reid in 2010. Lotts' record throw is more than 2.5 meters (8.5-feet) further than the next closest mark by a league competitor this season. It also ranks seventh in NCAA Division III. Lotts competed in the shot put as well, tossing the apparatus 12.68 meters (41-7.25) to place 29th overall.
