Lane, a sophomore from Portsmouth, Va., put together a strong two-event performance at the JDL DMR Invitational over the weekend. Lane finished second overall in the triple jump with a new personal-best leap of 11.22 meters (36-9.75). That not only tops the ODAC season chart, but ranks 48th in the country. Lane also took a turn in the 60-meter dash, posting a time of 7.99-seconds to place sixth overall. That is 0.04-seconds off her previous season-best mark.
