Nikki Doherty, Washington and Lee, Sr., Springs/Hurdles

Doherty, a senior from Arlington, Mass., placed in two events to lead the Washington and Lee track and field team this past weekend at the Keydet Invitational hosted by the Virginia Military Institute. Doherty finished 27th overall and was the top Division III runner in the 200-meter dash with an indoor personal-best time of 26.37. That time is the third-fastest in W&L history, and her converted time of 26.78 is the second-fastest in the ODAC this year and ranks 45th nationally.* In the 60-meter hurdles, Doherty took 18th overall (2nd in DIII) in 9.56. She ran 9.46 in the prelims of the event, which is the fastest time in the ODAC this season.

* the VMI Keydet Invitational was competed on a banked track, requiring the conversion of track events 200-metes and greater in length for flat track rankings; the ODAC and NCAA championships will be competed on flat tracks
