Kindig, a graduate student from Spotsylvania, Va., highlighted a strong weekend of throwing performances from ODAC athletes with a stellar showing at the NYU Division III Invitational hosted by New York University. Kindig won the weight throw event, besting a field of 16 D-III throwers with a mark of 18.85 meters (61-10.25). That distance was nearly four feet further than the nearest competitor. It is his second-best throw of the season, one that would rank as the fifth-best toss in the country right behind his ODAC record heave over 19.27 meters at the VMI Team Challenge in December.
