Men's Basketball Player of the Week
Lamont Moore, Randolph-Macon, Sr., Guard
Moore, a senior from Waverly, Va., put together a trio of strong performances to help lead the Yellow Jackets to a 3-0 week. Moore earned MVP honors at the R-MC Coaches Tournament sponsored by Kay Jewelers after averaging 18.0 points, 9.5 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 2.5 steals in wins over Bryn Athyn (84-61) and Wesley (88-78). Against BAC, Moore dropped in 19 points to go with five rebounds, seven assists, three steals and a pair of blocked shots. He followed that with 17 points and 14 rebounds against Wesley for his second double-double of the season. He added three assists and two steals. Moore capped his week with 19 points and eight rebounds in a 71-68 triumph over Guilford. He also chipped in four more assists to bring his weekly total to 14 helpers. For the season, Moore is fourth in the ODAC in scoring (16.4 ppg) and second in field goals made (64). His 180 total points sit third in the league.

Notes: E&H is riding its first 4-game winning streak since January 2007 following a pair of wins at the Rhodes Year-End Classic. Chase Branscomb notched games of 16 points and 13 points as he shot 61.1% (11-19) from the field. The 16 points were one off a career-best. Ryan Gravley added 10 points against Hendrix, while Brandon Self tied for game-high honors with 10 boards. Clif Conley posted a team-best 14 points against Rhodes with John Shelor (12) and Alec Wynn (10) also reaching double figures. Gravley dished out a game-high seven assists.

Carson Long led wit h15 points against UPG, while Zachary Houston pulled down a team-best eight boards.  Guilford tied for tops in the ODAC in allowing just 43 points to Dickinson. Trever Hyatt led with 14 points off the bench as he was 5-of-6 from the field and 3-of-4 from downtown. Houston recorded a game-high 10 rebounds. Hyatt (14), Trevor Mayo (12) and Long (10) joined Freeman in double figures at RMC. Alston Thompson gathered a game-best 10 rebounds.

Andrew Evans averaged 16.7 points and nearly four boards while shooting 59.3% (16-27) in the three contests. He had 19 points against BSC and 16 versus Rosemont. He was 4-of-4 from the line in OT against JHU on the way to 15 points. Mike Murray poured in 17 points with an ODAC season-high 10 assists vs. BSC. Josh Katowitz and Gui Guimaraes had 11 points each versus Rosemont. Murray drilled a 3-pointer as time expired for the win. JaVonte Reddick (13) and Guimaraes (11) went for double figures against JHU, while Murray notched seven points, seven boards and eight assists.
