Freund was tabbed to the NABC South District First Team, while Branscomb earned a spot on the second team. Freund was an All-South Region First Team choice by D3hoops.com, with Branscomb and Freund both picking up third team assignments.

Freund, a junior from Charlotte, N.C., was a near dominant force on the block for Roanoke, showcased by a pair of ODAC Player of the Week awards and a national Division III Player of the Week honor from the United States Basketball Writers Association (USBWA). Freund was second in the conference in both scoring (18.4) and rebounding (10.7), helping him to a league-high 15 double-doubles including three in an ODAC Tournament run to the title game. He led the ODAC in field goals made (199-of-331), field goal shooting (.601), and defensive rebounds (215), while ranking third in free throws made (117-of-139) and offensive rebounds (85), and sixth in free throw shooting (.842).

Branscomb, a senior from Bristol, Tenn., helped lead Emory & Henry to its first ODAC title and picked up All-Tournament MOP honors. His Wasps also made the program's first appearance in the NCAA Division III Tournament since 1993. Branscomb finished third in the ODAC in scoring (16.7) and fourth in rebounding (8.5). He reached double figures in 24 of his 29 games played and cracked the 1,000 career-point barrier in early February.

Murtha, a senior from Dallas, Texas, led the ODAC in scoring (18.7) and was third in rebounding (9.2) and ninth in field goal shooting (181-of-346; .523). He finished his career third all-time at W&L with 1,845 points and seventh with 855 rebounds. His career scoring average of 17.1 points per game is the seventh-best in program history. He is second all-time in free throws made (568) and free throws attempted (860). Murtha laced them up one final time in Salem during the NCAA Division III Championship weekend at the Reese's All-Star Game presented by the NABC. He notched 13 points with four boards and two assists in helping the East to a 120-114 win over the West.
