Hinson, a junior from Newport News, Virginia, led the Runnin
Royals in scoring in both of their wins. The junior highlighted the
week by tying his career best with a 34-point outburst at
Washington & Lee on Wednesday. Hinson scored 56 points over two
games, upping his season scoring average from 13.1 to 15.6 points
per game. In the game against the Generals, Hinson was a deadly
12-of-15 from the floor, including 7-of-9 from three-point range,
which tied an EMU record for most three pointers made in a game.
Saturday, the forward led the Royals with 22 points (20 in the
first half). Hinson was 8-18 and 6-11 from long range in that win.
He had five rebounds in each game and added three blocked shots,
three steals and two assists for the week, and shot 61% overall and
65% from long range.
