Turner, a sophomore from Richmond, Va., helped the Wasps to a
2-1 record on the road in the ODAC this week, including a pair of
wins against Harrisonburg-area rivals Bridgewater and Eastern
Mennonite. Turner opened the week with 17 points, seven
rebounds, four assists and a pair of steals in a 77-66 loss to
Hampden-Sydney. He followed that with 13 poitns, three
rebounds, five assists and three swipes in a 72-68 nail-biter
against BC. He scored the first four points of a 10-0 run
with less than six minutes to play to erase a seven-point
deficit. In an 81-78 triumph over Eastern Mennonite, Turner
fell two points shy of a career-high with 28 points as he buried
11-of-14 from the foul line. He added six rebounds, three
assists and three steals. Twice he tied the game up late in
the fourth quarter and helped seal the team's fifth win of the
season, which already eclipses E&H's total for wins last
season. Turner is currently third in the ODAC in scoring
(17.2 ppg) and total points (395). He's also second in free throw
made (119-of-155) and fifth in assists (83).
