Liam Ward, Guilford, Sr., Forward

Ward, a senior from Malvern, Pa., earns his first weekly award of the season after helping Guilford clinch the second seed in the upcoming ODAC Tournament with a 1-1 showing against teams in the top of the league standings. Ward shot 54.5-percent (18-of-33) from the field while averaging 23.0 points and 7.0 rebounds per game. He opened with 27 points and seven boards in a 65-57 victory at Roanoke. He was 10-of-20 from the field including 2-of-4 from three-point range. He was also 5-of-6 from the line and collected two assists, two steals, and a blocked shot. Ward then poured in 19 points on 8-of-13 shooting in a 72-66 loss to nationally top-ranked and ODAC #1 seed Randolph-Macon. He canned one more three-pointer and canned both of his foul shots. He pulled down seven more rebounds and handed out a pair of assists. For the season, Ward is third in the ODAC in scoring (19.1) and total points scored (439). He is fourth in field goals made (172-of-358) and steals (47), and fifth in rebounding (7.7) and total rebounds (176).
