Buzz Anthony, Randolph-Macon, Sr., Guard

Anthony, a senior from Arnold, Md., was named to the Great Lakes Invitational All-Tournament Team following a pair of career nights towards two ranked victories for nationally top-rated Randolph-Macon. The three-time ODAC Player of the Year and owner of multiple All-American plaques set a new career-high with 32 points on 14-of-21 shooting in an 88-74 triumph over 13th-ranked Emory University. He was 4-of-8 from deep and chipped in five rebounds, five assists, and two steals. Anthony then tied his career best mark with 13 assists in an 82-74 victory over third-ranked and tournament hosts Marietta College (Ohio). He was 4-of-8 from the field including 2-of-2 from three-pointer territory and 5-of-6 from the line on the way to 15 points. He also notched a rebound and a steal. Through five games this season -- all R-MC wins -- Anthony is averaging 19.4 points per game in 35.8 minutes of floor time per contest. He leads the ODAC in assists (41), steals (8), and total points scored (97).
