Plyler, a senior from Charlotte, N.C., had one of the biggest clutch performances of his career this week. In 220 minutes of playing time -- plus a shootout -- against Roanoke College, Plyler allowed zero goals and made 12 saves. On Tuesday in the regular season finale, Plyler faced 24 shots and made six saves to record his 22nd career shutout. In the quarterfinals of the ODAC Tournament, he faced 18 shots and also made six saves. In the shootout, Plyler saved two straight attempts to help secure the Tigers spot in the semi-finals. Plyler has 23 career shutouts, leaving him just one shutout short of tying the H-SC career record held by former All-American, Mike Bizon ’00.

points in Guilford’s 1-1 week… scored the game-winning
goal in the Quakers’ 2-1 upset of regionally ranked
Lynchburg… had an assist in Guilford’s ODAC Tournament
loss at Randolph… finished third among the team’s
scoring leaders with three goals and three assists for a
career-high nine points.

Luxner helped the WildCats erase a two-goal deficit
over Bridgewater College on Wednesday, scoring the game-tying goal
in regulation before netting the game-winner in double overtime
with just under four minutes to play. He scored in the ODAC
quarterfinal contest against Guilford, netting an insurance goal
with under 10 minutes to go to put Randolph up 4-2. He now has
scored four goals in his last four games, including two to tie
games after Randolph had trailed by two goals.
