COREY SINDLE, Randolph, Sophomore, Forward

Sindle, a sophomore from Gloucester, Va., arguably the biggest goal in Randolph men's soccer history on Sunday, as his game-winner in double overtime lifted Randolph College past No. 15 Maryville College on the road. Sindle had a game high seven shots on the afternoon, none bigger than his last one in double OT, which gave Randolph its first win over a ranked opponent in program history. Earlier in the week, Sindle scored once and assisted on two others in a 4-1 win over Ferrum College.

Men's Soccer Honor Roll

Freddy Gomez, Guilford, Junior, Forward/Midfielder
Gomez scored twice in Guilford’s 3-0 road win over Emory, Guilford’s first in six meetings with the Eagles… moved into sixth place among Guilford’s career leaders in goals (24) and points (58).

Mitchell Leap, Eastern Mennonite, Senior, Forward
Leap scoring goals in both of EMU’s games last week.  Wednesday night, after a 2:20-lightning delay to the start of the game, Leap scored just 9:29 into the game, putting the Royals on top.  Saturday he provided the only score in a 1-0 win over conference rival Emory & Henry, when he knocked in a rebounded shot in the 12th minute of play.  Leap is second in the ODAC with 11 points, tied for second with five goals, and tied for first with two game-winning goals.  Leap also jumped two places on the EMU Career Points Leaderboard, moving up to seventh with 68 points (30 goals, 8 assists).  He also took over fifth on the Career Goals Leaderboard.

Rodrigo Walsh, Randolph-Macon, Junior, Midfielder
Walsh helped R-MC to a 1-0-1 week as it opened ODAC play against Washington and Lee and Bridgewater.  After tying the Generals, Walsh played a part in two goals in the Yellow Jackets' 2-1 win over Bridgewater.  He tied the game 1-1 with a penalty kick in the 73rd minute and went on to assist on the eventual game-winner just three minutes later off a corner kick.
