Ryan Tavermaris, Bridgewater, Junior, Midfielder

Tavermaris, a junior from Staunton, Va., scored a pair of goals to help the Eagles to a 1-1-1 week.  In a 1-1 tie with Washington and Lee, Tavermaris scored in the 76th minute to tie the game, which held through regulation and overtime.  He capped his week with the game's lone goal in the Eagles' 1-0 win over Guilford.  Tavermaris leads Bridgewater with 11 points on five goals and one assist.

Men's Soccer Honor Roll

Philip Yoder, Eastern Mennonite, Senior, Midfielder
Yoder tied the score in the 19th minute of a 1-1 tie on his only shot of the game against Lynchburg.  It was Yoder’s second goal of his senior season.

Freddy Gomez, Guilford, Junior, Midfielder
Gomez scored twice in Guilford’s 3-2 road win over league-foe Hampden-Sydney… the contest marked his second multiple-goal game of the season and the fifth of his career… he raised his team-leading goal-scoring total to 10, one off his career high.

Michael Releford, Lynchburg, Sophomore, Goalkeeper
Releford led the Hornets to a pair or double overtime ties in ODAC competition. He made five saves Wednesday at W&L while shutting out the Generals in 110 minutes of soccer. He allowed just one tally Saturday in 92 minutes as LC tied EMU 1-1 in double OT.

Carter Smith, Randolph, Sophomore, Goalkeeper
Smith got the nod in both contests this week for Randolph, putting together two huge victories as the WildCat men’s soccer team clinched a spot in the ODAC Tournament. Wednesday against Virginia Wesleyan, Smith posted a shutout after facing 11 shots and making four saves. In the first half, he made two diving saves to keep the game scoreless, a contest Randolph eventually won in double overtime.

Ethan Cornelio, Randolph-Macon, Senior, Midfielder
Cornelio helped the Yellow Jackets to a 2-1 week with a goal and an assist.  Cornelio scored the game-winner off a free kick against Hampden-Syndney Saturday afternoon.  The goal was Cornelio’s second goal of the season.  Earlier in the week, he registered an assist off a free kick on the second goal of a 2-0 win over EMU.

Blake Eshelman, Virginia Wesleyan, Freshman, Midfielder
Eshelman scored two goals during a 2-1 week for Virginia Wesleyan.  He scored the final two goals of the game in a 9-1 win over Emory & Henry College to become VWC's current leader in goals scored.  He is also second now in total points.
