Washington and Lee's Krasner Highlights ODAC Men's Tennis Awards

GC's McCain, RAND's Strober, W&L's Holt Take Home Individual Honors

FOREST, Va. --- Washington and Lee University standout Jordan Krasner was named the ODAC Player of the Year by the league's head coaches to highlight the All-ODAC Men's Tennis Awards.  Guilford College mentor Dave McCain earned ODAC Coach of the Year accolades, while Randolph College's Bradley Strober garner ODAC Rookie of the Year recognition.  The Generals' Michael Holt received the ODAC/Virginia Farm Bureau Insurance Scholar-Athlete Award.

Krasner, a sophomore from Rockville, Md., is not only an All-ODAC First Team honoree in singles action, but earned an All-ODAC Second Team spot in doubles play with partner Will Bannister.  Ranked 23rd in the Atlantic South Region by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA), Krasner is 20-7 on the season in overall singles matches, which includes a perfect 10-0 mark in league play, all from the #1 position.  He also owns an 18-6 mark in doubles action, having gone 9-1 versus conference opponents.

McCain, in his fifth season coaching the Quakers' tennis programs, enjoys his first ODAC top coaching award.  His men's squad jumped up the conference ladder this season, winning three more conference matches on the way to an 8-2 league mark and the third seed in the ODAC Tournament.  Guilford's overall record improved from 7-11 in 2014 to 11-5 this season, making the Quakers one of three ODAC schools with double digit dual match victories in 2015.

Strober, a freshman from Sergeantsville, N.J., helped the WildCats improve by two wins in the league standings, going from 3-7 in 2014 to 5-5 this season.  Strober stepped in and immediately took over the top position in Randolph's line-up, posting an 8-7 record in dual matches and 10-7 overall when including invitational play.  He was 4-6 against league opponents.  He had several partners in doubles action, going 12-7 overall, mostly from the second or third flights.  He was 6-4 against league duos.

Holt, a junior from Henrico, Va., earns this honor from the league's sports information directors for the second straight year.  In the classroom, Holts boasts a 4.0 grade point average as a Mathematics major.  A multi-honoree on the All-ODAC Academic, he has been honored as a Scholar-Athlete by the ITA in addition to earning Capital One Academic All-American Third Team accolades in 2014.  On the court, the two-time All-American in doubles play is currently the 13th-ranked singles player in the ITA's Atlantic South Region, not to mentioned ranked ninth on the doubles charts with partner Christopher Hu.  Holt is 8-9 on the season overall, splitting time between the first and third singles flights.  He is 18-6 in overall doubles matches.  Holt and Hu own a 15-5 record as a tandem.
