TYLER MERCIER, Guilford, Freshman, No. 1 Singles, No. 1 Doubles

Mercier, a freshman from Bennington, Neb, picks up his second weekly award of the season.  Mercier went 3-1 in two matches for the Quakers, earning a two-set victory over Hampden-Sydney College’s Shad Harrell at No. 1 singles.  He continued at the top position and won a three-set decision over Roanoke College’s Jon Roy.  Alongside Clayton Hamilton, Mercier went 1-1 in doubles action with an 8-4 win over the top pair from Hampden-Sydney and an 8-5 loss to the top pair from Roanoke.  Mercier extended his ODAC singles win streak to six matches.

Men's Tennis Honor Roll

Hayden White, Washington and Lee, Sophomore, No. 1 Singles, No. 2 Doubles
White helped lead Washington and Lee to a 6-0 victory over Lynchburg in the quarterfinals of the ODAC Tournament on Saturday.  He produced a 6-0, 6-0 win over LC’s Brandon Brown at No. 1 singles and then teamed with junior Brian Roberts for an 8-2 win over Brown and Cody Crampton at No. 2 doubles.  For the season, White is 16-3 in both singles and doubles for the top-seeded Generals, who take on fifth-seeded Emory & Henry in the ODAC Semifinals on Friday.
