Turner Votipka, Guilford, Sr., No. 1 Singles, No. 1 Doubles

Votipka, a senior from Nashville, N.C., went 6-0 last week as helped the regionally 14th-ranked Quakers to team wins over Hampden-Sydney (9-0) and Lynchburg (9-0) before a loss to #19 Virginia Wesleyan (5-4).  Votipka posted a 3-0 mark at #1 singles and a 3-0 record with partner Erik Meiler at #1 doubles.  He won 6-0, 6-4, in singles against H-SC, followed by a 6-0, 6-0, victory over Lynchburg's #1.  He needed three sets to top Graham Wilson from VWC, 6-0, 3-6, 7-5.  In doubles play, Votipka and Meiler won 8-1, 8-0 and 8-6.

Men's Tennis Honor Roll

Bradley Strober, Randolph (Fr. - Sergeantsville, N.J.)
Strober went 2-0 at #1 singles and 2-0 at #2 doubles with JT von Seggern as Randolph defeated Southern Virginia (9-0) and Emory & Henry (5-1).  He posted wins of 6-3, 6-1 and 6-0, 4-6, 10-7 in singles play and joined von Seggern for 8-1 and 8-2 doubles triumphs.

Brendan Kelleher, Virginia Wesleyan (So. - Baltimore, Md.)
Kelleher helped VWC to a 3-0 week as the Marlins topped Bridgewater (5-4), Roanoke (7-0) and Guilford (5-4).  Kelleher won 6-1, 6-0 at #6 singles against BC, and added a 6-2, 6-3 #5 singles win over GC.  He and teammate Drew Tomaczyk won 8-0 and 8-1 at #3 doubles against RC and GC, respectively.
