Allie Schwab, Washington and Lee, Sr., Attack

Schwab, a senior from Bryn Mawr, Pa., helped nationally 10th-ranked Washington and Lee open the season and head coach Maddie Coleman's collegiate head coaching career with a win in a clash of top-10 ranked teams. Schwab, a preseason All-American by the IWLCA, registered five points in the Generals 15-8 triumph over sixth-ranked Franklin & Marshall College. She scored four goals and dished out an assist. Schwab scored W&L's first goal to knot the game at 1-all. She added the final goal of the first frame for 6-2 advantage, and then bookended halftime with her third and fourth goals, the latter giving W&L an 8-3 lead just 47 seconds in the third period.
