Dixon opened with a 16-4 major decision victory over Joshua Hermann from Liberty. Dixon then pinned Caleb Hartung from Apprentice at 1:44, setting up two tough bouts in the semifinals and finals. He matched with Roanoke's Joshua Mancia in the semis and earned 3-1 decision. Dixon met Peter Cortapassol for the title and locked in a classic heavyweight grind where Dixon eventually won via 2-1 decision on a tiebreaker point. Dixon has now won titles in his first two events of the season.
