LC's Bosco and Dupuy Lead ODAC NSCAA Award Winners

FOREST, Va. --- The Lynchburg College attacking tandem of Angela Bosco and Dessi Dupuy headline the ODAC's group of women's soccer award winners from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) as the pair were named All-Americans.  Bosco earned a spot on the first team, while Dupuy was tabbed to the second team.

In addition to Bosco and Dupuy's All-American accolodaes, a total of 10 standouts from ODAC schools earned recognition as All-South Atlantic Region performers.  Joining Bosco and Dupuy on the first team are a pair of LC teammates in defender Emily Maxwell and midfielder Jade Woll, as well as Washington and Lee University midfielder Katelyn Rossi.  Bridgewater College defender Elizabeth Stump earned a spot on the second team, as did LC midfielder Jenn Snyder and Virginia Wesleyan College defender Allie Ketzler.  Generals' goalkeeper Addie Healy and forward Tricia Jessee earned third team honors.

Bosco, a senior from Long Island, N.Y., adds this honor to the ODAC Player of the Year award she earned last month.  Bosco put together a storybook season that culminated in a national championship, the first of a Lynchburg College team sport.  She led the ODAC with 76 points, 30 goals scored and 16 assists.  The points and goals are both second-most in ODAC single-season history.  Bosco tallied three times with three assists in the NCAA Division III Tournament, notching the game-tying goal in the Hornets come-from-behind win in the national semifinals over Illinois Wesleyan University.  She will graduate second in the conference record books in career points (215) and goals scored (85).  Her 45 career assists rank third.

Dupuy, a senior from Lynchburg, Va., enjoys her second straight All-American accolade after earning second team honors in 2013.  Dupuy finished second in the ODAC with 66 points and 28 goals scored, while her 10 assists timed for third.  She scored four goals with one assist in the NCAA Tournament, as the helper came on the game-winner in a 2-1 triumph over Montclair State University.  Dupuy became the first ODAC player -- men's or women's -- to notch 100 career goals earlier this season.  She will graduate ninth all-time in NCAA Division III and No. 1 in the ODAC with 105 career tallies.  Her 239 career points also top the league charts.  She owns three of the top-five spots in ODAC single-season scoring, registering 28 goals (3rd) this season and 27 goals (4th) in 2011 and 2012.
