INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. --- Sixty-four teams are set to begin play in the NCAA Division III Women's Soccer Tournament, with Lynchburg College representing the ODAC.  The Hornets begin their national title defense on the road for the first and second rounds as they make their way to Rowan University.

For the second straight season, only two of the three available pools were used to draw this year's bracket.  Forty-four schools earned a spot from Pool A, which consists of those programs that earned their places via automatic qualification by winning their conference titles.  The remaining 20 teams picked up at-large bids from Pool C.  Zero schools were tabbed from Pool B, which consists of true independents or those squads that compete in conferences that have not met criteria for automatic qualification.

Lynchburg (19-2-2) makes its way to Glassboro, N.J., to compete in one of 16 sites in the first two rounds of competition slated for November 13-15.  The Hornets open with Babson College (14-3-4) with a possible second round matchup against the host Profs (13-2-2) or Lasell College (13-4-4).

Like nationally 15th-ranked Lynchburg, 22nd-ranked Rowan and Lasell picked up their tournament dance cards by winning their conference tournaments.  The Profs claimed the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) crown, while the Lasers won the Gret Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) championship.  Babson picked up an at-large bid after the Beavers came out on the wrong side of a penalty kick shootout in the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) title game.

Competition at Rowan will begin on Saturday, November 14 and continue with the second round on November 15.  Third round and sectional action continues on various campuses (TBD) November 20-22.  The national semifinal and championship games will be competed at Swope Soccer Village in Kansas City, Mo., on December 4-5.
