Sydney Smith, Washington and Lee, Jr., Goalkeeper

Smith, a junior from Damascus, Md., ably guard Washington and Lee's net in a pair of ODAC shutouts to keep the Generals unbeaten overall at 10-0-4 and two points back in the conference table with 16 at 5-0-1. Smith made five saves in a 2-0 road win at Roanoke College. Three of her stops came in the second half. Smith then made all five of her saves in the second half in a 1-0 victory over nationally 18th-ranked Virginia Wesleyan. Four of those stops came between the 81st and 86th minutes to help preserve the victory. Smith leads the ODAC with seven shutouts and 1,172:42 of time between the posts. She is third in goals against average (0.61) and has made 29 saves towards a .784 save percentage.
