INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. --- Washington and Lee University punched its ticket to the NCAA Division III Volleyball Tournament on Saturday evening, leaving no question the Generals would be in the field of 64.  Now they know where they're going.  W&L will make the trip to Ohio to Wittenberg University to begin competition in one of eight regional pods that feature eight teams.

The full bracket features 44 squads like Washington and Lee that earned their places via automatic qualification after winning their conference tournaments.  The remaining 20 programs earned at-large bids from Pool C.  There were no Pool B qualifiers this season, a group that includes true independent schools or those that play in conferences without an automatic bid.

The Generals (27-6) will square off with the University of Mount Union (28-5) in a first round matchup in Wittenberg's Pam Evans Smith Arena in Springfield, Ohio.  The host Tigers (26-6) take on Cabrini College (27-3).  The remaining two first round pairings at Wittenberg feature Juniata College (27-7) vs. Franciscan University (13-16) and Hope College (28-2) vs. Franklin & Marshall College (21-11).

Hope was the only squad to earn an at-large bid as the Flying Dutch fell to Calvin College in the MIAA title match.  Mount Union won the OAC title, while Franciscan and Franklin & Marshall picked up their Pool A bids from the AMCC and Centennial Conference, respectively.  Cabrini captured the CSAC crown, while Juniata claimed the Landmark Conference championship and Wittenberg won the NCAC title.

The first three rounds of the NCAA Tournament all occur in regional play November 13-15.  Each of the eight regional winners make the trip to the Freeman Center at Christopher Newport University for the national quarterfinal, semifinal and championship matches on November 21-23.
