Sears, a sophomore from Newport News, Va., earned her second straight ODAC weekly award to begin the season. Sears helped R-MC to a 5-0 week to improve to 8-0 in the early campaign. She totaled 56 kills and 64 digs in the five R-MC wins. At the Greensboro Invitational, Sears had 15 kills and 11 digs against Piedmont, nine kills and 11 stops against Peace, 15 kills and 18 digs against the host Pride and closed out the tourney with a 16-kill 12-dig performance against Guilford. For the week, she hit at a .310 clip, making just 12 errors in 142 chances. She also recorded four assists and eight total blocks.

Ashley Scott, Bridgewater College, Sophomore, Outside
Hitter
Scott reached double figures in both kills and digs
in three of four matches this past weekend at the Dickinson
tournament, leading the Eagles to a 2-2 record. Scott averaged 3.7
kills per game and 3.1 digs per game in the tournament. For the
week, the Eagles were 4-2 with Scott averaging 3.67 kills per game
and hitting for a .319 percentage.
Kim Caudill, Guilford College, Sophomore, Outside
Hitter
Caudill helped to lead E&H to a 2-1 weekend at
the 36th Annual E&H Tournament. Caudill had 28
kills, five blocks, seven digs and three service aces for the
weekend. She also had a .359 hitting percentage as the Wasps
defeated Sewanee and Ferrum in straight sets while losing to
Meredith 3-2.
Traci Teague, Guilford College, Junior, Middle
Blocker
Teague averaged a team-high 2.53 kills and 0.65 blocks per game in
the Quakers’ 2-3 week… hit .383 in 17 sets… had
two contests with 10 or more kills, including a season-high
15-putaway performance in Guilford’s five-set win over
Peace… hit .375 in the match… had a season-high six
blocks in a four-set loss to Piedmont… named to the
Greensboro College All-Tournament Team.
Jasmine Murphy, Lynchburg College, Senior, Defensive
Specialist
Murphy was named the MVP of the Lynchburg College
Invitational Tournament this weekend, leading LC to four victories
while only dropping one game. She led the squad with 55 digs in 12
games and had 11 service aces, including eight in a match Friday
evening against Johnson Wales.
Maggie Wagner, Roanoke College, Senior, Outside Hitter
Wagner was named Tournament MVP
at the Emory & Henry Invitational… totaled 26 kills and
28 digs on the week in four matches. She led the Maroons to the
E&H Tournament Championship. She is now ranked sixth
all-time in career kills and seventh on the career digs list at
Roanoke.

Boles earned Tournament MVP honors as part of the W&L
Invitational over the weekend as she averaged 12.5 kills, 10 digs
and 3.25 service aces per match… posted 14 kills, six
service aces and 6 digs in her first collegiate match, a 3-0 win
over McDaniel … added 16 kills and 19 digs in a 3-2 loss to
Averett.
