Guy, a sophomore from Fishersville, Va., led the Marlins to a 3-0 week with victories at Eastern Mennonite University, at the University of Mary Washington and at home against Emory & Henry College. After recording a career-high five aces in a win at UMW, Guy came back to record six in the win over Emory & Henry. She entered the week with just six aces for the season. Guy added 29 kills and 28 digs to her weekly totals, as well as five total blocks. She currently leads the Marlins in kills, aces and digs.

Monika Burkholder, Eastern Mennonite University, Senior,
Middle Blocker
Burkholder was a bright spot for Eastern Mennonite
this week as she averaged 3.4 kills per set over three matches to
go with her .259 attack percentage. Burkholder also added 5.0
blocks. Her highlight was an 18-kill performance against
Southern Virginia where she also had a pair of solo blocks.
She is currently among the top ten in the ODAC in kills, solo
blocks and points.
Brittany Freeman, Guilford College, Sophomore, Middle
Hitter
Freeman averaged 3.43 kills, 0.71 service aces, and 2.29
digs per set in Guilford’s 1-1 week… Hit .173 and
added 3 blocks on the week… Had 7 kills and 13 digs in a
four-set loss to Washington and Lee…Had a match- and
season-high 17 kills at Eastern Mennonite… Also had 4 aces
and 3 digs in the contest… Her 17 kills set a career high
for 3 set matches.
Rachel Huffman, Lynchburg College, Sophomore, Middle
Hitter
Huffman led LC to a 3-0 week and its seventh-straight
victory. In nine games, Huffman had 24 kills, a .645 hitting
percentage and three blocks.
Kristin Spinner, Randolph College, Senior, Middle
Hitter
Spinner led the WildCats this week with 37 kills, averaging
over three a game. She posted two double-doubles on Saturday,
including a season-high 21 kills and 14 digs against Sweet Briar.
Spinner followed that up with a 12 kills, 11 dig performance
against the Hornets of Shenandoah.
Raena Winton, Randolph-Macon College, Senior, Right
Side
Winton helped R-MC to a
3-0 week with three ODAC wins. Winton had 30 kills on the
week and hit at a .480 clip. In a road win over Bridgewater
Winton had 12 kills. Winton then tallied 15 kills and
three blocks in a victory over Roanoke.

Boles earned tournament MVP honors for the second-consecutive week
after W&L went 3-0 at the Bridgewater Invitational …
posted 11 kills, 20 digs, three assists and two blocks in a 3-2 win
over previously undefeated Frostburg St. …. Opened the
tournament with 11 kills, eight digs and a pair of service aces in
a 3-0 sweep of Bridgewater.
