Boles, a sophomore from Houston, Texas, led the Generals to three wins in three days as W&L wrapped up ODAC play with a perfect 10-0 conference record (25-2 overall). The Generals posted wins over Randolph-Macon, which was previously undefeated in conference play, Randolph and Lynchburg. Boles averaged 15.7 kills, and 11.3 digs per match (3.9 k/set, 2.8 d/set) last week. She posted 20 kills and 14 digs in a 3-1 win over Randolph-Macon on Thursday. She followed that with 12 kills, nine digs and a pair of service aces in a 3-0 win over Randolph on Friday. Boles capped her week with 15 kills, 11 digs and a pair of aces in a come-from-behind 3-2 win over Lynchburg on Saturday. Boles is currently second in the ODAC with 321 kills and 3.73 kills per match.
Volleyball Honor Roll
Lindsey Kallam, Bridgewater, Sophomore, Setter
Kallam turned in a solid week as the team’s
setter to lead the Eagles to three straight conference wins. The
three wins moved the Eagles into the upper half of the ODAC
standings. Kallam had 48 assists and 10 digs in a five-set win at
E&H. She added another double-double with 38 assists and 12
digs in a 3-1 win at Guilford. For the week she averaged 9.8
assists and 2.5 digs per game. She also had three service aces and
five blocks during the week.
Emma Gunn, Guilford, Senior, Middle Blocker
Gunn averaged a team-high 2.33 kills and 0.58 blocks per set in
the Quakers 1-2 week… hit a club-best .387 in three
matches… also contributed two assists, a service ace and
five digs on the week… had a team-high 13 kills on .458
hitting with two blocks in a five-set loss at Lynchburg…
after a four-kill, two-block performance versus Bridgewater, Gunn
had a team-high 11 putaways and did not make an error in
Guilford’s 3-0 win over Meredith… she hit .579 against
Meredith and also had three blocks and three digs.
Elena Kritter, Lynchburg, Senior, Outside
Hitter
Kritter collected 32 kills last week as Lynchburg split a
pair of ODAC matches. She had 14 kills and 12 digs Wednesday in a
five-set win against Guilford with two blocks and two aces and
followed up with an 18-kill 12-dig performance Saturday against
W&L in a five-set loss.
Mallory Carter, Randolph-Macon, Junior, Outside
Hitter
Carter led R-MC to a 2-1 week with 48 kills to go along with 35
digs and a pair of service aces. She had 19 kills in a 3-1
loss to Washington and Lee. She followed that up with 17
kills at Roanoke and a 12 more winners at Hollins.
