Courtney Lowers, Randolph-Macon, Sr., Outside Hitter

Lowers, a senior from Suffolk, Va., picks up her second straight weekly honor after hammering 52 kills to go with 30 digs and eight total blocks in the Yellow Jackets 3-0 showing at the Franklin & Marshall Scramble.  She opened with a rare 20-20 match with 23 kills and 22 digs to go with two blocks in a 3-2 win over the host Diplomats.  She added 12 kills and five blocks in a 3-0 win over Penn St.-Altoona, and then came three short of another 20-kill performance with 17 winners and a .552 hitting percentage in a 3-0 win over Lebanon Valley.  Lowers currently leads the ODAC in kills per game (3.90) and is second in overall kills (121).

Volleyball Honor Roll

Macon Frey, Bridgewater (So. - DS)
Frey registered 62 digs, 16 assists and four service aces over the course of four matches to be named to the All-Tournament Team at the Guetle Invitational.  She had 34 digs in a 3-2 win over Catholic.

Katie Miller, Eastern Mennonite (Sr. - DS)
Miller broke EMU's career digs record on Saturday, getting all 25 digs she needed to surpass Rachel Nafziger's mark of 1,436 in the match against Methodist. With the 10 she added in the late match, Miller now has 1,447 in her career.

Kelsey Ruehling, Guilford (Sr. - OH)
Ruehling led the Quakers with 13 kills and 16 digs in two matches last week.  She ahd seven kills and nine digs in a loss (3-0) to William Peace.

Jessica Block, Roanoke (Jr. - S)
Block helped RC to a 5-0 week to run RC's record to 10-0 on the season with 166 assists and 33 digs.  She dished out 48 helpers in a 3-2 win over Emory & Henry, and added 37 and 30 assists in a 3-0 wins over Meredith and Hollins, respectively.  She earned a spot on the Maroon Invitational All-Tournament Team.

Kirstin Sessoms, Virginia Wesleyan (Sr. - S)
Sessoms handed out 137 assists to go with 39 digs in the Marlins 4-1 week.  She picked up a spot on the Maroon Invitational All-Tournament Team for her efforts, which included 32 assists and nine digs in a 3-0 win over Randolph.

Mackenzie Shand, Washington and Lee (Jr. - MB)
Shand helped W&L to a 2-2 week, with the Generals' lone losses coming to nationally-ranked Wittenberg (3-0) and Berry (3-2).  Shand notched 44 kills and hit at a .427 clip while adding 15 digs and 13 total blocks.  She had 14 winners and four blocks in a 3-2 win over Averett and added 13 kills, two blocks and two aces against Berry.  She had 10 kills and three blocks against Wittenberg.
