Meg Guignon, Washington and Lee, So., Outside Hitter

Guignon, a sophomore from St. Louis, Mo., helped lead Washington and Lee to four victories in four matches at the W&L Invitational.  Guignon earned MVP honors after collecting 47 kills to go wtih 22 digs and four total blocks.  She had eight kills in a 3-1 win over Centre before going for double figures in the final three matches of the tournament. She started with 13 winners while hitting .333 in a 3-0 win over Averett. She had 14 kills and seven digs in a 3-1 victory over Southern Virginia, and capped her tournament with 12 kills, six digs and two blocks in a 3-0 win over St. Mary's (Md.).  For the season, Guignon has notched 72 kills to go with 57 digs in helping Washington and Lee to a 7-1 start.

Volleyball Weekly Honor Roll

Abby Mills, Bridgewater (Sr. - OH)
Mills helped BC to a 3-1 record with eight strong sets of play at the CUA Tournament, earning a spot on the all-tournament team after collecting 36 kills with a .337 hitting percentage and 25 digs. She had 16 kills and seven digs in a 3-0 loss to Catholic.

Jasmine Johnson, Eastern Mennonite (Jr. - S)
Johnson average 4.58 assists per set while notching 14 overall aces and 30 digs in EMU's 2-3 week.  She had 11 aces in a 3-0 win over Elizabeth City St.

Sydney McKinney, Emory & Henry (Fr. - M)
McKinney helped E&H to a 5-0 showing with four wins coming at the Greensboro Invitational. She collected 38 kills and hit .370 with four total blocks. She had 16 kills in a 3-2 win over W.Va. Tech, and had 10 winners in a 3-0 win over EMU.

Casey Davis, Guilford (Jr. - OH)
Davis smacked 36 kills and collected 30 digs in a 1-2 week for the Quakers.  She had 11, 12, and 13 digs against Salem (W, 3-0), William Peace (L, 1-3), and Meredith (L, 0-3), respectively. She added 10 and 11 digs in the latter two matches.

Jen Garrett, Lynchburg (Sr. - OH)
Garrett remained hot in the Hornets' 2-2 showing at the Lynchburg Invitational. She hammered out 57 kills and picked up 63 digs. She had 21 winners with 18 digs in a 3-2 loss to Maryville (Tenn.). She had 16 kills while hitting .351 to go with 19 digs in a 3-0 win over Methodist.

Samantha Sallade, Randolph-Macon (Jr. - DS)
Sallade averaged 3.53 digs per set on the way to picking up 53 digs in R-MC's 2-2 week.  She registered 21 digs in a 3-2 setback to St. Mary's (Md.). She had one service ace in all four matches.  She earned a spot on the W&L Invitationall All-Tournament Team.

Alex Wolfe, Roanoke (Fr. - OH)
Wolfe helped RC to a 4-0 showing at the Maroon Classic, earning all-tournament team honors along the way. She collected 38 kills and hit .333 while also adding 16 digs.  She had 27 combined kills and 11 combined digs over a pair of 3-0 wins against Ferrum.

Elizabeth Lamont, Shenandoah (Jr. - OH)
Lamont buried 42 kills to go with 79 digs in a 3-1 showing for SU at the CUA Tournament.  She notched 16 kills with 16 digs in a 3-0 win over Pitt-Greensburg. She picked up 26 digs in a 3-1 loss to CUA and 20 digs in a 3-1 win over Gallaudet.

Amber Matalus, Virginia Wesleyan (Fr. - MH)
Matalus notched 31 kills, 14 total blocks and six aces in VWC's 1-3 week. She had 10 kils with two blocks in a 3-1 loss to McDaniel. She added eight kills and five blocks in a 3-1 loss to Salisbury, and notched eight kills and four blocks in a 3-1 win over Elizabethtown.
