FOOTBALL
Peter Partee, Washington and Lee, Sr.,
Linebacker
Partee, a senior from Richmond, Va.,
helped spearhead a Generals' defensive effort that forced five
turnovers -- all interceptions -- in Washington and Lee's 42-13
triumph over Bridgewater. Partee made six tackles (five solo) from
his linebacker spot, but his best efforts came in pass defense.
Twice he intercepted Bridgewater passes in addition to breaking up
a third pass attempt. The interceptions were his first two of the
season, joining Guilford's Satiir Stevenson as the only two players
with two interceptions in a game this season. Partee's second pick
came at the outset of the fourth quarter with W&L leading
21-13. The turnover led to a touchdown, opening up the game for the
Generals. Washington and Lee's five interceptions were apart of an
11-interception Saturday in the ODAC.
