Link, a senior from Spotsylvania, Va., helped the Hornets to a pair of wins last week, including a double-overtime triumph on the road at Randolph-Macon. Link started her week by contributing to half of Lynchburg's goals in its 8-0 win Ferrum. She scored twice and assisted on two others. Then over the weekend at R-MC, Link helped the Hornets erase 3-0 deficit to come away with a 4-3 2-OT win. Link scored the game-tying goal late in the second half to push the game into extra time. For the season, Link leads the ODAC with 26 points and is tied for first with 11 goals scored.
Field Hockey Honor Roll
Camille Williams, Eastern Mennonite (Sr., M - Media,
Pa.)
Williams continued her scoring ways in the Royals 1-1
week. She had an assist in a 2-1 loss at Roanoke, and then
scored scored all three goals in EMU's home win over Virginia
Wesleyan, 3-1. Williams is tied atop the conference with 11
goals scored.
Carrie Jacobs, Randolph-Macon (Sr., M - Orange,
Va.)
Jacobs scored three times in the Yellow Jackets 6-2
victory at Sweet Briar.
Kelsey Palmisano, Roanoke (Fr., A - West Caldwell,
N.J.)
Palmisano scored both goals in the Maroons 2-1 win
over Eastern Mennonite.
Ashley Cross, Shenandoah (Sr., A - Agawam, Mass.)
Cross helped the Hornets to a 2-0 week. She
opened with an assist in a 4-1 win over Frostburg State. She
followed that with the game-winning tally in a 2-1 win at
Washington and Lee, keeping SU tied with Lynchburg atop the ODAC
standings at 4-0.
Kimberly Orchowski, Sweet Briar (Sr., A - Crofton,
Md.)
Orchowski totaled three goals in the Vixens 1-1
week. She notched both of SBC's goals in a 6-2 loss to
Randolph-Macon. She followed that with a goal and two assists
in a 3-0 win at Ferrum.
