Guilford's Mishoe Headlines All-ODAC Men's Golf Awards

BROWNS SUMMIT, N.C. --- The 2019 All-ODAC Men's Golf Awards were announced in a ceremony on Monday evening at the ODAC Men's Golf Championships at Bryan Park Golf & Conference Center in Browns Summit, N.C. Sixteen individuals took home All-ODAC honors in a vote of the league's head coaches, with several others earning special individual honors.

Guilford junior James Mishoe, who has been perched atop the Golfstat.com computer rankings as the No. 1 golfer in NCAA Division III for most of the season, received ODAC Golfer of the Year laurels. He and fellow All-ODAC First Team honoree Brian Peccie from Washington and Lee played in a one-hole playoff for the ODAC title on Tuesday. Mishoe earned the win with a par, nipping the reigning Division III national champion and following three strong days of competition.

Peccie, ranked #4 by Golfstat, added the ODAC/Virginia Farm Bureau Insurance Scholar-Athlete of the Year award in a vote of the league's sports information directors.

Hampden-Sydney took home a pair of special honors as mentor Chad Eisele was named the Jack Jensen Coach of the Year honors. First-year standout John Hatcher Ferguson picked up ODAC Rookie of the Year accolades in addition to All-ODAC First Team honors. He is currently the 39th-rated player in Division III. The Ted Keller Sportsman of the Year award went to Branson Terrell from Lynchburg. He adds that to an All-ODAC Second Team selection.
