ODAC Athletes of the Week | Golf

FOREST, Va. --- Golf returned to action over the past week with league teams competing in early spring tournaments. This week's ODAC Golfers of the Week are Bridgewater sophomore Heather Donnelly and Ferrum senior Lance Keiser.

Bridgewater, meanwhile, pulled off a rare double-victory as the Eagles claimed both team titles at the Pfeiffer Invitational hosted by Pfeiffer University at Hilton Head Lakes in Hardeeville, S.C. Bridgewater's women posted a two-round score of 870 (338-332) to win by 35 strokes, while the Eagles' men finished with a much narrower margin at 604 (304-300), just four strokes clear of the host Falcons.

MEN'S GOLFER OF THE WEEK
Lance Keiser | Ferrum | Sr.
Keiser, a senior from Manassas, Va., started off the spring campaign with a runner-up performance at the Pfeiffer Invitational hosted by Pfeiffer University at Hilton Head Lakes in Hardeeville, S.C. Keiser finished the tournament in solo second following two rounds of play on the par-72 track set at 6,955 yards. He opened with a 1-under 71 to hold the lead after the first 18 holes, and fired a 2-over 74 in round two to finish at 1-over 145, four strokes back of Pfeiffer's Kevin Burris (141). Keiser has now placed in the top-five in three of his six starts in 2019-20. His efforts at the Pfeiffer Invitational helped Ferrum to sixth place at 175-over 751 (383-368).

WOMEN'S GOLFER OF THE WEEK
Heather Donnelly | Bridgewater | So.
Donnelly, a sophomore from Chatilly, Va., helped the Eagles complete a school sweep of the Pfeiffer Invitational as Bridgewater's women's and men's squads claimed both team titles. Donnelly finished in solo third as the top Division III competitor at 20-over 164 after two rounds on the par-72 layout set to 5,800 yards at Hilton Head Lakes in Hardeeville, S.C. She opened with a career-best 8-over 80 before closing with a 12-over 84 to finish 13 strokes back of Chowan University's Inecia Rolle (151). Donnelly's efforts helped Bridgewater post a 94-over 670 (338-332) to win by 35 strokes over Adrian College.
