Evan Cox, Virginia Wesleyan, So.

Cox, a sophomore from Ashland, Ky., put together his fifth top-five showing of the season by tying for fourth at the 45th Marine Federal Credit Union Intercollegiate held at Paradise Point Golf Course in Camp LeJeune, N.C.  Cox finished one stroke off of third place in the event, finishing with a three round 215 at 1-over par.  His efforts helped #38 Virginia Wesleyan to a fourth-place showing behind second-ranked Methodist University, #4 Oglethorpe University, and #21 Greensboro College.  Cox opened with a 1-under 69 on the par-70 Scarlet Course before shooting even-par 72 on the championship Gold Course.  He finished with a 2-over 74, helping Virginia Wesleyan post a 300 team score, the low-effort for the third round in the tournament field.

Men's Golf Weekly Honor Roll

Elijah Tackett, Bridgewater (Sr.)
Tackett led Bridgewater at Camp LeJeune, finished with a 9-over 221 (78-71-72).  Bridgewater placed 16th at 896 (318-286-292), finishing on the Scarlet Course.

Evan Cocke, Shenandoah (Sr.)
Cocke continued his personal success at Camp LeJeune over the weekend, claiming the Scarlet championship for the second time in his career.  The 2015 Gold championship winner posted a 1-under 69 on Sunday giving him a 213 for the tournament. SU placed fourth as a team in the Scarlet ranks.

Conley Hurst, Washington and Lee (Jr.)
Hurst put together a strong week for W&L, leading the Generals to fourth place at the Wynlakes Intercollegiate. W&L posted rounds of 300 and 304. Hurst tied for fourth individually, carding an even 144 (73-71) at the Wynlakes Golf and Country Club in Montgomery, Ala. He went on to win twice in match play at Stoney Creek Golf Course, topping CNU's Matt DiSalvo and EMU's Josh Alderfer, one-up, in both matches.
