Kanaby, a sophomore from Chapel Hill, N.C., helped the Generals cruise to the team title at the Hill City Invitational hosted by the University of Lynchburg on Monday and Tuesday. Kanaby, last season's ODAC Women's Golfer of the Year, claimed her first career individual medalist honor by topping the 34-person field at 6-over 150 following two rounds on the par-72 track at Boonsboro Country Club set to 5,801 yards. Kanaby carded a 4-over 76 in round one and improved two strokes to 74 in round two to finish eight shots clear of teammate Grace Owens for the title. Washington and Lee finished at 61-over 637 following rounds of 324 and 313, the two lowest team rounds of the tournament.
