Quinton, a senior from Elora, Ontario, helped lead the Maroons attack in a 21-7 win over 13th-ranked Cabrini College over the weekend. Quinton fired five times on the Cabrini net, beating the keeper three times while assisting on two other Roanoke goals. He also picked up three ground balls in the effort. Quinton leads Roanoke and the ODAC in goals (18) and points (23) so far this season.
Men's Lacrosse Honor Roll
Greg Nash, Guilford, Sophomore - Attack
Nash scored a team-high four points on a team-best three
goals and an assist in the Quakers' 0-2 week... also shared
team-high honors with seven ground balls and caused two
turnovers... had one goal, one assist, seven ground balls and two
caused turnovers versus Christopher Newport... led Guilford with
two scores in a loss to Eastern.
Kyle Jett, Hampden-Sydney, Senior - Midfield
In Hampden-Sydney's 11-6 loss to #13 Cabrini on Wednesday,
Jett dished out a team-high three assists. In the Tigers'
14-8 win over Marymount on Saturday, Jett led the Tigers with four
goals.
Dylan Hoff, Lynchburg, Sophomore - Attack
Hoff had five goals and an assist Saturday in LC's 17-2
win over Mount Saint Joseph. Hoff scored three of the game's first
four goals, and didn't score the last 26 minutes of play.
Joe LaSala, Washington and Lee, Freshman - Defense
LaSala helped key the Generals to a pair of victories last
week, defeating Greensboro (9-4) and Washington College
(9-5). LaSala has played a huge role for the W&L defense,
which allowed just nine goals over the two games. He forced
five turnovers and picked up three ground balls in the win over
Greensboro and had six caused turnovers and collected four ground
balls in the victory over Washington. For the season, W&L
is allowing just 4.00 goals per game and LaSala leads the team with
15 caused turnovers.
