Darminio's Major Honor Highlights Long List of ODAC USILA Award WinnersMay 24, 2023University of Lynchburg standout Chris Darminio was named the Co-Long Stick Midfielder of the Year to highlight the ODAC's representation on USILA's 2023 Blatant Lacrosse Division III All-Americans awards process. A total of 22 stars from conference schools received All-American status from the USILA.

Generals' Rally Come Up Short in NCAA Loss to SalisburyMay 20, 2023The Washington and Lee men's lacrosse team found its groove late with a 6-3 run over the final 22:44, but it was not enough to overcome Salisbury's strong play over the first two and a half quarters, as the second-ranked Sea Gulls downed the No. 9-ranked Generals, 12-9, in the NCAA Quarterfinals on Saturday.

At the moment, it looks like 70 degrees and rainy next week in the northern Commonwealth, but on Saturday in the Buckeye State, the University of Lynchburg men's lacrosse team enjoyed perfect weather as the Hornets downed Denison 14-8.

Mitchell's OT Winner Propels Hornets to NCAA Men's Lax Third RoundMay 13, 2023For the second time this season, Riley Mitchell scored a game-winning goal in overtime for the University of Lynchburg men's lacrosse team. However, this one may have meant a little more. Mitchell's first goal of the game lifted 11th-ranked Lynchburg over St. John Fisher in the second round of the NCAA tournament. Lynchburg advances to take on No. 13 Denison on Sunday, May 14 at 4 p.m.

ODAC Announces 2023 All-ODAC Men's Lacrosse AwardsMay 09, 2023ODAC champion Washington and Lee University collected a league-high 12 all-conference honors and split four special individual honors with Roanoke College evenly to headline the 2023 All-ODAC Men's Lacrosse Awards. Maroons attackman Luke Kammerman received ODAC Player of the Year distinction from the league's head coaches, while teammate and defenseman Weston Hammond was tabbed the ODAC Rookie of the Year. Generals mentor Gene McCabe garnered ODAC Coach of the Year laurels from his peers, and W&L defenseman Harris Hubbard earned ODAC/Virginia Farm Bureau Insurance Scholar-Athlete of the Year recognition from the conference's athletic communications personnel.

Lynchburg Headlines ODAC Men's Lacrosse BracketApril 29, 2023A spreadsheet full of possible tiebreaker scenarios was ready to be employed to determine the seeding for the upcoming ODAC Men's Lacrosse Tournament. It turns out the easiest of steps broke all three stalemates that dot the seven-team bracket as two of Saturday's competitors -- University of Lynchburg and Hampden-Sydney College -- open as the top two seeds. Lynchburg (8-1) scored a 14-2 triumph over Hampden-Sydney (8-1) under the lights at Shellenberger Field, supply the needed fuel to win the first step of the ODAC's tiebreaker procedures -- head-to-head results -- to secure top billing for the tournament. The Tigers still benefit from a strong bye situation as the second seed in the field, not having to play again until the semifinal round.

Two-Time Defending Champs Lynchburg Top ODAC Men's Lacrosse PollFebruary 07, 2023Four teams collected more than 90 points with the University of the Lynchburg topping the chart following a vote of the league's head coaches towards the 2023 ODAC Men's Lacrosse Preseason Poll. The Hornets secured 10 first place votes to power the defending league champs to 120 markers atop the 12-team table. Washington and Lee University garnered the remaining top nods on the way to 109 total tallies. Roanoke College sits third with 98 points, while Hampden-Sydney College cracked the 90-point plateau with 96 markers.
