Jess Hawthorne, Hampden-Sydney, Sr., Midfielder

Hawthorne, a senior from Richmond, Va., helped the Tigers to a pair of non-conference wins last week.  He scored six goals on 12 shots in two games. On Wednesday at Catholic University, he scored twice on the way to a 14-5 win. On Saturday at Ohio Wesleyan University, Hawthorne netted four goals including the game-winner and the insurance tally with one second left on the shot clock to clinch the game with 1:13 to go in the 9-7 win.  For the season, Hawthorne has scored eight points, all coming off goals.

Men's Lacrosse Honor Roll

Rob Simmons, Bridgewater (Va.) - (Fr, MF - Huntingtown, Md., 12)
Simmons helped the Eagles move to 2-0 in their first season of action as the freshman midfielder recorded six points on four goals and two assists in BC's 27-6 win over Southern Virginia.  On the year, Simmons leads BC with five goals scored.

Adam Fiore, Guilford - (Fr, A - Ithaca, N.Y., 47)
Fiore scored a game- and career-high five points with a goal and four assists in the Quakers' 11-10 loss to DeSales.  In a game that featured eight ties and three lead changes, Fiore assisted on consecutive fourth-quarter goals that broke an 8-8 tie and opened a 10-8 Guilford lead with 3:17 left in regulation.

Adam Davey, Lynchburg - (So, G - Owings Mills, MD, 33)
Davey, Lynchburg's second-year goalkeeper, was instrumental in the Hornets victory on Saturday as LC topped fifth-ranked Cabrini College. Davey made 19 saves and allowed nine goals while facing 52 shots in the Hornets' 11-9 win.  He also picked up four groundballs and caused one turnover.

Aaron Paul, Shenandoah - (So, A - Culpeper, Va., 13)
Paul led the Hornets to a 2-0 week as he notched five goals and seven assists in non-conference action.  In an 8-5 win over Hood, Paul recorded a goal in two helpers while coming away with three groundballs and a caused turnover.  Paul picked up five more loose balls in addition to four goals and five assists in a 13-10 triumph over Marywood.

Mikey Connors, Va. Wesleyan - (Sr, M - Horseheads, N.Y., 2)
Connors scored the winning goal in overtime to lift Virginia Wesleyan to an 11-10 victory over previously undefeated Berry College (3-1) in Charlotte, N.C. Connors recorded two crucial goals in the win, also providing the Marlins with their only goal of the third period to help VWC stay in front 9-8. He also had one assist and four ground balls.
