Derek Sweet, Lynchburg, Sr., Attack

Sweet, a senior from Duxbury, Mass., helped the Hornets to a 1-1 record against a pair of nationally-ranked opponents last week.  In a 9-8 overtime win over #9 Washington and Lee, Sweet scored twice, including the tally that sent the game into overtime with a little over three minutes to play.  Over the weekend, Sweet again forced extra time as the eighth-ranked Hornets locked horns with #5 Stevenson.  Sweet's goal was his fourth of the game and came with only 39-seconds to play in regular, but the Mustangs went on to win with a man-up tally in  OT.  Sweet, who added two assists in that contest, has racked up 21 points on 14 goals and seven assists this season.

Men's Lacrosse Honor Roll

Daniel Hughey, Guilford - (Fr, A - Cary, N.C., 12)
Hughey recorded a game- and career-high four points in Guilford's 11-8 win over Ferrum.  He dished out two assists and scored twice, with both goals coming in the decisive third quarter, which saw the Quakers outscore the Panthers, 8-3.

Cam Davis, Randolph - (Fr, G - Gibsonville, N.C., 4)
Davis posted a 2-0 record between the pipes on the week, helping lead Randolph to its first three-game winning streak in program history. Wednesday against Bryn Athyn College, he made seven saves and allowed just one goal in a 20-1 victory. He bested that performance on Saturday against Bridgewater, making 13 saves and surrendering just two goals to the Eagles in an 11-2 win. For the week, Davis gave up three goals and posted a 1.50 GAA, made 87 percent of his saves and also added three ground balls and 20 total stops.

Ryan Davidson, Randolph-Macon - (Fr, A - Logan Township, NJ / Kingsway Regional , 18)
Davidson found the back of the net once and added a pair of assists  in a loss to Roanoke (21-6) over the weekend.  He also picked up three groundballs and caused a turnover.

Conner Dubois, Roanoke - (Sr, A - Lititz, PA, 23)
In the Maroons 21-6 win over Randolph-Macon, DuBois had three goals and two assists to tie for a team high five points. He also finished the contest with two groundballs.
