Averna, a junior from Warrenton, Va., put together an eight-point week in Randolph-Macon's 1-1 showing. Averna opened with one goal and assist to go along with three ground balls in the Yellow Jackets setback (24-8) versus nationally 11th-ranked Christopher Newport. Averna then turned up the production in helping lead R-MC to a 16-10 win over Guilford. He scored four times and dished out a pair of assists for six points. He added a ground ball and two caused turnovers to his line. For the season, Averna is fifth in the ODAC with 17 points on 11 goals and six assists.
