    Bridgewater College Director of Athletics Curt Kendall has announced the hiring of Conor Smith as the head men’s and women’s tennis coach.
  • W&L Receives Intercollegiate Tennis Association Awards

    The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) released its 2006-07 regional award winners on Monday afternoon. Washington and Lee Men's Tennis Coach David Detwiler and Women's Tennis Coach Cinda Rankin were both named the Atlantic South Region Coach of the Year for Division III. Additionally, senior Ginny Wortham (Richmond, Va./Collegiate) was selected as the recipient of the Division III Atlantic South Region ITA/Arthur Ashe, Jr. Sportsmanship Award.
  • Generals Chosen to Win ODAC Men’s Tennis Title

    After finishing on top of the men’s tennis standings for the 11th consecutive time in 2006, Washington & Lee was picked to win its 27th overall ODAC title and make it back to the NCAA tournament in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) 2007 Preseason Poll.

    The last four months have been marked by historical events on the campus of Randolph-Macon Woman’s College. On September 9, the Board of Trustee’s announced a strategic plan that will make the college coed in the fall of 2007. On December 9, the new name of the college—Randolph College—was announced to the public.
