2020 Men's Tennis Players of the Week

    Borga, a senior from Buenos Aires, Argentina, went 6-2 combined at #1 singles and #1 doubles with partner Vincent Oliver as Lynchburg went 2-2 as a squad. The Hornets fell 6-3 and 6-1 to LeTourneau and Thomas More, respectively, but posted 6-3 and 5-4 victories over Gordon and Lake Forest, sequentially. Borga and Oliver won 8-4 over Jimmie Henson and Christian Farris from LeTourneau as well as Gavin Dail and Jaret Fidler from Thomas More. The Hornets' pair added an 8-6 over Ezekiel Hall and Jonathan Frink from Gordon before falling to Lake Forest's Oleksyi Vyshyvanyuk and Chase Garber, 8-5. In singles play, Borga won 6-0, 6-1 over LeTourneau's Henson dropped a tight 6-7, 7-6, 1-0 (8) decision to Thomas More's Dail. Borga came up with a 6-4, 6-0 win over Gordon's Hall, and finshed with a 6-4, 7-6 victory over Lake Forest's Vyshyvanyuk.

    Secord, a sophomore from Harrisonburg, Va., is making good on last season's ODAC Player of the Year campaign as he went a combined 6-0 in top-flight singles and doubles play to help Bridgewater to a 2-1 team showing. In a 5-4 loss to Drew University, Secord posted a 6-2, 6-1 win over John Dickey at #1 singles and joined Matthew Gordon for an 8-1 triumph at #1 double. He swept both sets in posting a 6-0, 6-0 win at #1 singles against Dustin McCullough from St. John Fisher. He and Gordon won 8-0 at #1 doubles to help BC post a 9-0 team win. Secord again grabbed two points towards a 6-3 win over Albion with a 6-0, 6-1 triumph at #1 singles and an 8-1 win with Gordon at #1 doubles.
