Bridgewater's Adalia Coleman won the first heat of the 100-meter dash with a blistering time of 11.79 seconds. That mark ranks third among those qualifying for the finals and eclipsed the ODAC championship record time (11.83) she posted a few weeks ago. Washington and Lee's Katelyn Gamble set a new Generals record at 12.04 seconds. She won a photo finish at 12.037 seconds for 12th place with Illinois Wesleyan's Addison Bendery (12.040). Pacific Lutheran's Bailey Forsyth won the third heat at 11.60 seconds to top all competitors.

Eastern Mennonite's Isaac Alderfer closed his record-setting season by placing ninth overall in the 800-meter run at 1:53.13, just 0.08 seconds short of qualifying for the event's finals. Ben Kuxmann from Millikin posted the top prelims time at 1:50.48.

Ferrum's Dazon Harrison won the second heat of the 400-meter dash preliminaries at 48.31 seconds to earn a spot in the eight-man final. That marked his second fastest time of the season. Roanoke's Samuel Crawford posted a time of 48.20 seconds - 0.04 seconds off his season-best -- but finished sixth in the first heat to come up short of those advancing to the finals (top-2 in each heat, plus next two best times). North Central's Michael Stanley won the third heat and posted the prelims quickest time at 47.04 seconds.

Lynchburg's Aniya Seward competed in the 100-meter hurdles preliminaries. She finished 12th overall at 14.43 seconds, tying her own ODAC overall record set at the conference championships earlier this spring. That also improved upon her seeding entering the event by two spots. Wheaton's Favor Ezewuzie posted the best prelim time at 13.85 seconds and will lead the top-eight into the finals.

Fellow Hornet Jackie Wilson took her turn in the 800-meter run. Seeded 16th prior to the race, Wilson stopped the watches 14th at 2:14.43 to mark her second-best time of the season. SUNY-Geneseo's Emily Pomainville topped the field at 2:10.18.

The NCAA Championships conclude on Saturday at Irwin Belk Track on the campus of North Carolina A&T in Greensboro, N.C.
