Yerkes, a senior from Arnold, Md., ran an NCAA provisional qualification time, the #2 fastest time in the country, in the 400m dash this weekend, finishing 3^rd overall at the Charlotte Invitational.  She was the only DIII competitor in the fast section of the race. Her time of 56.31 is a season best and leads the ODAC by over 1 second.  She is now currently ranked in the nation in 3 individual events and as a member of two relay teams.

Gabrielle Smith, Guilford, Freshman, Throws
Smith turned in personal bests in the shot put and discus at the Charlotte Invitational… placed 10^th of 11 in the shot put (8.12m) and 11^th of 14 in the discus (28.45m)… also placed 10^th in the hammer… was the lone Division III contestant all three events.
