Amanda Theall, Shenandoah, Junior, Throws

Theall, a junior from Blossville, N.Y., put together a solid showing at the Goucher Invitational in each of the weighted throws.  In the shot put, she set a school record with a toss of 12.17 meters (39' 11.25") to place second overall and first among NCAA Division III competitors.  It also established a new ODAC season-best mark for the event.  In the discus, Theall was fourth overall and second among D-III athletes with a throw of 36.43 meters (119' 6").  Theall set her second school record of the day in the weight throw as her heave of 44.70 meters (133' 9") placed fifth overall and third among D-III competitors.

Women's Outdoor Track & Field Honor Roll

Jasmine O'Neil, Guilford, Freshman, Mid-Distance
O'Neil narrowly missed lowering her school record in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:35.87 seconds at the Duke University Invitational… placed 26th among 34 runners… missed her school record time of 2:35.50 set March 24.

Krystal Foster, Lynchburg, Sophomore, Mid-Distance
Foster set a career-best time in the 1,500 meter run at the Duke Invitational. Foster finished first among DIII athletes and seventh overall with a time of 5:01.33.

Sarah Witt, Roanoke, Senior, Hurdles
Witt put together a solid showing at the Liberty Collegiate Invitational over the weekend.  Witt was first among NCAA Division III competitors in both the 100 and 400-meter hurdles.  She placed fifth overall in the shorter discipline with at ime of 15.63.  She added a fourth place showing in the 400-hurdles with a time of 1:05.47.  She also ran a leg of Roanoke's fifth place 4x400-meter relay team (4:04.50).
