Hiegel, a senior from Richmond, Va., nearly set a new ODAC record at the Bison Outdoor Classic hosted by Bucknell University. Hiegel placed eighth overall in the 10,000-meter run at the large NCAA Division I meet. He posted a time of 30:07.63, which tops the ODAC chart by more than four minutes and ranked fifth in Division III. Hiegel's time just missed the ODAC record in the event, set by former Lynchburg All-American Ricky Flynn in 2010 a 30:03.39.
