O'Connor, a senior from Henrico, Va., is zeroing in on yet another ODAC record following a strong showing at the Dr. Jack Toms Alumni Invitational hosted by the University of Lynchburg. O'Connor, who earn All-American honors during the indoor season and reset the ODAC indoor pole vault record, is drawing ever-closer to etching his name next to the event's outdoor entry. He reset his own Washington and Lee standard by clearing 4.96 meters (16-5.25) to win the event. That mark is not only #1 in the ODAC, but it is tied for first in NCAA Division III with Jack Miller from Letourneau University (Texas). O'Connor also competed in the high jump, tying for fourth at 1.78 meters (5-10.00), which ranks second in the league.
