Quinlin Zunk, Washington and Lee, Fy., Throws

Zunk, a first-year from Moseley, Va., went record hunting in her first collegiate outdoor track & field experience at the W&L Carnival hosted by Washington and Lee. Zunk competed in all four throwing events. She finished second in the discuss with a new Generals record spinning toss of 39.33 meters (129-0.00). That snapped an 11-year old record of 38.60 meters. Zunk's new mark is tops in the ODAC and sixth in Division III in the early going of the season. In the hammer throw, Zunk finished 16th at 35.76 meters (117-4.00) and chimed in 17th in the javelin at 24.59 meters (80-8.00). Her hammer throw is the fifth-best in program history. She also placed 20th in the shot put at 9.16 meters (30-0.75).
