Chaffins, a graduate student from Temperanceville, Va., went record-hunting as she competed on her home track at the WildCat Twilight hosted by Randolph College. Chaffins set the WildCats record in the high jump, taking over the top position in the ODAC in the process. She won the event by clearing 1.61 meters (5-3.25), snapping her own school standard set in 2019. That mark not only leads the conference table, but it ranks 37th in the NCAA Division III. Chaffins also took part in the long jump. She finished third at 5.26 meters (17-3.25), matching her season-best leap from last week's Dennis Craddock Coaches Classic hosted by the University of Lynchburg.
