    Lynchburg College claimed top billing with seven of 12 first place votes in the 2006 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) preseason women’s soccer poll announced by the conference on Monday. Virginia Wesleyan College (three first place votes) and Washington and Lee University (two) round out the survey’s top three, all of which earned a spot in last season’s NCAA Division III national tournament.

    The two Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) women’s soccer teams that began competition in the Division III National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Soccer tournament are still in it. Both the Virginia Wesleyan College Marlins and the Washington & Lee Generals defeated both their opponents this weekend to advance to the NCAA’s “Sweet Sixteen”.
