    Each spring, the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Board of Directors recognizes its top male and female athlete with a pair of the conference’s highest honors. This year, the 2007 Marjorie Berkley Scholar-Athlete Award winner as the top female student-athlete is Washington and Lee University senior, Ginny Wortham. A native of Richmond, Virginia, Wortham is a standout on the Generals’ 2007 NCAA Division III National Championship women’s tennis team.

  • W&L Receives Intercollegiate Tennis Association Awards

    The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) released its 2006-07 regional award winners on Monday afternoon. Washington and Lee Men's Tennis Coach David Detwiler and Women's Tennis Coach Cinda Rankin were both named the Atlantic South Region Coach of the Year for Division III. Additionally, senior Ginny Wortham (Richmond, Va./Collegiate) was selected as the recipient of the Division III Atlantic South Region ITA/Arthur Ashe, Jr. Sportsmanship Award.
