FOREST, Va. --- ODAC student-athletes continue to show why they're some of the best Division III has to offer with some outstanding showings in week 10. Those earning ODAC Athlete of the Week awards include (pictured from top and left): Allison Wandling from Sweet Briar women's tennis, Tanner Bernard and Will Pickren from Hampden-Sydney football, Tad Dean from Shenandoah baseball, Allie Schwab from Washington and Lee women's lacrosse, Jack Averna from Randolph-Macon men's lacrosse, Madison Glaubke from Virginia Wesleyan softball, Pearce Bucher from SU baseball, Emily Seale from VWU softball, and Dalton Capobianco from Roanoke men's tennis.
Below are entries for all 10 winners from today's multi-sport release. Stay tuned for track & field, soccer, field hockey, and volleyball awards on Tuesday followed by golf honors on Wednesday.

SOFTBALL PITCHER OF THE WEEK
Emily Seale | Virginia Wesleyan | Fy. | Pitcher
Seale, a first-year from Madison, Va., helped nationally second-ranked Virginia Wesleyan to a 3-1 week by going 2-0 in the circle. Seale's efforts were highlighted by a 3-1 complete-game victory over #5 Christopher Newport University. She gave up one run on three hits with a walk and three strikeouts. Seale followed with three scoreless frames in a 14-1 five-inning win at Guilford. She gave up one hit and walked three with one strikeout. For the season, Seale is 8-1 in 11 appearances including nine starts. She owns a 1.44 ERA and has fanned 21 batters in 53.1 innings of work.

BASEBALL PITCHER OF THE WEEK
Tad Dean | Shenandoah | So. | Starting Pitcher
Dean, a sophomore from Stephens City, Va., was lights out in the Hornets 7-0 victory over Emory & Henry in the first game of a road sweep of the Wasps. Dean went the distance for the first time in his collegiate career for his first nine-inning shutout. He gave up just two hits and did not walk a batter. He struck out seven batters, setting a new career-high. Dean retired the first five batters he faced and then sat down 15 Wasps in a row until a double with two down in the seventh inning. He finished the game with seven straight outs facing as many batters. For the season, Dean is 2-0 with a 0.90 ERA and 15 strikeouts over 20.0 innings and three appearances, all starts.

SOFTBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Madison Glaubke | Virginia Wesleyan | Sr. | Outfielder
Glaubke, a senior from Virginia Beach, Va., experienced a power surge in helping nationally top-ranked Virginia Wesleyan to a 3-1 week. Glaubke hammered four homers and drove in nine runs while slashing .364/.533/1.455. In a 10-1 loss to #5 Christopher Newport in game one of a split, she went deep for the Marlins run while also walking and stealing a base. She walked, stole a base, and scored in VWU's 3-1 win in game two. In a doubleheader sweep (14-1, 10-4) on the road at Guilford, Glaubke went deep three times and drove in eight runs with two walks, five runs scored, and two stolen bases. She hit a three-run homer in game one and belted a pair of two-run blasts in game. For the season, the former ODAC Player of the Year is slashing .296/.415/.574. She is tied with Emory & Henry's Alex Braun for the ODAC's homerun lead with four. Glaubke is second in walks (11) and stolen bases (12) and third in runs (17), RBI (17), and total bases (31).

BASEBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Pearce Bucher | Shenandoah | So. | 3rd Base
Bucher, a sophomore from Stephens City, Va., helped Shenandoah go 3-0 last week against ODAC competition by registering a .417/.563/.750 slash line. Bucher went 5-for-12 combined with a double, homer, four runs scored, six RBI, and four walks. He opened with a 3-for-4 effort in a 14-5 win over Washington and Lee. He belted a two-run homer to left in the fifth inning on the way to driving in three runs in total with a walk. In the first game of a doubleheader at Emory & Henry, Bucher drew a pair of walks in a 7-0 Hornets win. In game two, he helped SU to a 12-4 triumph by going 2-for-5 with a walk and a two-run double. He again drove in three runs in total and scored once. For the season, Bucher is slashing .361/.452/.500 with a homer and 12 RBI, which ranks fifth in the conference. Shenandoah's third baseman owns a .962 fielding percentage and is fifth in the ODAC with 22 assists. He has made just one error. This week, he fielded all 10 chances cleanly with nine assists and one putout.

FOOTBALL DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Will Pickren | Hampden-Sydney | Fy. | Defensive Back
Pickren, a first-year from Mt. Pleasant, S.C., put together a strong effort is Hampden-Sydney's 43-12 win on the road at Guilford on Friday evening. Pickren registered eight total tackles from his defensive back position including four solo stops. He broke up two passes and came away with his first collegiate interception to setup a Tigers' second half touchdown. Pickren is tied for the team lead with 17 tackles thru three games. Hamden-Sydney is now 3-0 on the season. Its defense allows just 12 points and 163 yards of total offense per game to the opposition.

FOOTBALL OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Tanner Bernard | Hampden-Sydney | Jr. | Quarterback
Bernard, a junior from Lynchburg, Va., put together his best outing in a Tiger uniform on Friday evening as he helped lead Hampden-Sydney to a 43-12 win at Guilford. Bernard was 16-of-26 (61.5%) passing for 309 yards and three touchdowns without an interception for a 199.4 quarterback efficiency rating. Two of his scoring throws covered big yardage. He and Blake Page connected on a 54-yard TD play midway thru the first quarter. Bernard and Ed Newman linked up on an 85-yard catch-and-run to pay-dirt late in the second quarter. Bernard's third TD pass covered 13 yards to Dillon Costello with 17 seconds to play in the first half. Bernard also ran for 22 yards on three carries. For the season, Bernard leads the ODAC in completion percentage (64.6%) in going 51-of-79. He has thrown for 660 yards and six touchdowns against just one interception thru three games.

WOMEN'S LACROSSE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Allie Schwab | Washington and Lee | So. | Attack
Schwab, a sophomore from Bryn Mawr, Pa., picks up her second straight weekly award after helping nationally third-ranked Washington and Lee to a 2-0 week. Schwab registered a career-best six points with two goals and four assists in a 27-3 win over Southern Virginia University. She added three ground balls and a caused turnover. Schwab then scored twice and dished out an assist in the Generals 8-3 victory over #16 University of Mary Washington. She again picked up three ground balls. For the season, Schwab leads the ODAC with 11 assists. She is third with 23 points and seventh with 12 goals scored.

MEN'S LACROSSE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Jack Averna | Randolph-Macon | Jr. | Midfielder
Averna, a junior from Warrenton, Va., put together an eight-point week in Randolph-Macon's 1-1 showing. Averna opened with one goal and assist to go along with three ground balls in the Yellow Jackets setback (24-8) versus nationally 11th-ranked Christopher Newport. Averna then turned up the production in helping lead R-MC to a 16-10 win over Guilford. He scored four times and dished out a pair of assists for six points. He added a ground ball and two caused turnovers to his line. For the season, Averna is fifth in the ODAC with 17 points on 11 goals and six assists.

WOMEN'S TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Allison Wandling | Sweet Briar | So. | #2 Singles | #1 Doubles
Wandling, a sophomore from Mechanicsville, Va., went a combined 8-0 at #2 singles and #1 doubles to help Sweet Briar to a 4-0 week including a 3-0 showing versus ODAC opponents. Wandling, who is now 9-2 overall in singles matches and 11-0 overall in doubles play, lost just six total games over her eight outings. She and Ruth de Souza were 4-0 at #1 singles, beginning with an 8-1 win over Madison Hansen and Lily Kimble of Shenandoah. Wandling then defeated Kimble, 6-0, 6-0, in singles play towards a 9-0 Vixens team win. In a 9-0 win over Ferrum, Wandling and de Souza won 8-0 over Madison Wright and Morgan Hundley. Wandling then won 6-0, 6-0, over Tennessee Phillips in singles play. In a 9-0 win over Randolph, SBC's duo won 8-0 over Zu Elkhansa and Bailey Livingston. Wandling added a 6-0, 6-0, win over Heather Whetzel in singles play. Sweet Briar picked up a much tighter 5-4 triumph over Methodist University. Wandling and de Souza earned an 8-2 win over Abby Caddick and Sydni Lewis. Wandling then won 6-1, 6-2, over Jill Lawrence in singles action.

MEN'S TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Dalton Capobianco | Roanoke | Jr. | #2-3 Singles | #2 Doubles
Capobianco, a junior from New York, N.Y., helped lead Roanoke to a pair of ODAC team wins over Bridgewater and Lynchburg. In a 5-4 at BC, Capobianco paired with Zach Kriebel for an 8-5 win over Nick Kiser and Gabe Edler at #2 doubles. Capobianco then posted a 6-0, 6-1, result over Kiser at #3 singles. In an 8-1 win at Lynchburg, Capobianco and Kriebel were again victorious at #2 doubles, this time via an 8-2 result over Colton Mullins and Vincent Oliver. Capobianco moved up a rung to #2 in singles play and earned a 6-3, 6-0, win over Daniel Christian. Capobianco is now 4-1 in singles play and 4-1 in doubles action including a 3-1 record with Kriebel.
